WordPress 2.9 Upgrade And Its Bugs

logo

On Saturday I upgraded my blog Mosaic Mercy to the WordPress latest upgrade version 2.9.  On Monday I wrote and scheduled a post to publish on Tuesday at 7am.  I checked the status of the post at 10am and found that the scheduled post missed publication.

I deactivated every plugin I use and this did not resolve the problem.  I have read WordPress forums on the problem:

Scheduled Posts Not Working Since 2.9

2.9 Schedule Posts “missed”

This didn’t seem to help. I am hoping that WordPress corrects this bug soon because a lot of bloggers rely on scheduling their posts.

What problems have you run into with WordPress Upgrade Version 2.9?

PS: For a great article about WordPress 2.9 and version WordPress 2.9.1 go to 2.9.1 Around The Corner by Jeff Chandler

Great breakdown on WordPress 2.9. I luckily haven’t had any problems upgrading my sites. But definitely back up your stuff and get 2.9.1 when it becomes available. It’s in beta testing as we speak. But in all, WP 2.9 is a solid update. Still looking for more in WordPress 3.0. Here’s my thoughts on the newest version of WordPress.
