The Knapp’s Ministry Update March 2010

We Are Moving

On May 2, 2010 we will be departing from the Tulsa International Airport for Peine, Germany.  That is right, we are moving to live there on a full-time basis!  We are in the process of calling everybody who thinks they are important such as the gas and electric company in order to cancel service.  This week we are starting to figure out what we will ship and what we will get rid of.

In case you didn’t know our specific ministry will be the follow-up work for the Let’s Start Talking ministry.  We were scheduled to get two teams, one in May and the other in June.  The team that was coming in May is unable to make it now and if LST doesn’t find another team we will fill their place.  This is alright by us but will naturally be a little stressful because this will happen after only being in Germany for two weeks.

Amanda is off this week for spring break and will only have 3 more weeks of work left.  After she is finishes we will do all of our last minute preparations so we can get out of Joplin, Missouri.  We will move out of our apartment toward the end of April and stay with her parents.  A week later we board our flight.

Prayer Concerns

  • Stress!  Please pray that we will be able to get everything finished here in the states before the last week in April.
  • LST.  Please pray that LST will be able to find another team to come in May.
  • Finances.  We are leaving on Faith!  Please pray that people will want to join our ministry through financial support.  We are still at about 39% of our monthly goal.  We have about $1,000 monthly support and our goal is around $2,600.  This fluctuates because of the exchange rate, which has been approving!  Thank God.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read our newsletter!  It means so much.  Until next month so long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen goodbye.

Because of Jesus,

David and Amanda Knapp
