Greatest Wine Festival On A Blog

Okay I know I didn’t spell wine the correct way and you probably thought I was going to talk about some of the great wines of the world.  Sorry, it’s not that kind of post.

Most people will tell you not to whine but not me.  I want to hear you whine so loudly I can hear violins in the background! :o

Here is the catch though – I want to hear you whine in context.

What is the context?  Here it is:

The New Year is upon us and people all over the world (or maybe just the USA) are going to make New Years Resolutions.  What have been yours in years past?  Whine to us about what it is you wish you could change but have never had any luck at.  You may never be able to change it but you can whine about it right here.

PS:  What is your favorite wine?

Mine is classically boring. I always want to get into shape. I am kind of muscular fat. If I keep at working out I get in fairly decent shape but my obstacle is making excuses not to exercise.

Favorite wine is the white wine I had with the Fowlers in Italy.

  2. I’ve never made new year’s resolutions. I’ve been saying for over 20 years that I need to lose weight. When I was 19 I remember saying I wanted to lose the wight before I turned 20. The same with 30 and 40. Now I just say I need to lose weight, but nothing motivates me.

I’m not much of a wine drinker.

Through the Bible in 21 days! Holy Cow. I think it is probably good to set both kinds of goals.

I take it you are not Episcopalian or Catholic because you didn’t mention anything about the wine. ;)

  4. I’ve made a couple new years resolutions, but somehow (through God, that’s how) I’ve been able to accomplish them. Usuall, though my resolutions are fairly simple. The problem is in keeping them going. For example, it’s one thing to do something for a month (that’s usually all my resolution is for). But to actually turn it into a habit is a different story. Also, many of my resolutions are one time deals. So in a sense I fail because I don’t do them as soon as I plan to… but to date, I’ve always finished them by the end of the year.

In 2007 actually, I made it a goal to read the Bible from cover to cover in a year. That didn’t really happen… until December. The Lord seemed to remind me of my goal, so I started over from Genesis and read the whole thing in about three weeks. Intense.

Anyway, all that to say, I do better with monthly goals instead of “get it done sometime before the end of the year” goals.
