First, God. God is the subject of life. God is foundational for living. If we don’t have a sense of the primacy of God, we will never get it right, get life right, get our lives right. Not God at the margins; not God as an option; not God on the weekends. God at center and circumference; God first and last; God, God, God. -Eugene H. Peterson
Do you agree with this? If not, why? If so, what are some practical ways that we can put God at the center of our lives?

I like this. It’s been something I’ve been thinking about for almost a year now. It’s the Zero-priority lifestyle. If we place God first, that implies seconds and thirds and so on. What we have to do – what I have to do – is make God my only in life, my everything. That’s scary, but in a way it’s also liberating.
For now, though, I still don’t know what that looks like practically… and it’s something I need to work on.

For me to put God at the center of my life is to continually keep going back to the Bible to see how Jesus lived His life and try to follow His teachings. My goal at the moment is to remember Him each day because there are times when we He gets hidden by the distractions of life.
