Just like the French to keep the windows open!
Germans don’t like the window open. Supposedly the breeze that comes through the window will more than likely make them sick or worse but we won’t talk about that.
What I Think I Know
- Close the window on a moving train.
- Keep the window closed in your stationary home.
What I Don’t Know
- If I need to keep my automobile window closed while driving.
- How to close the window on my bike.
What Do You Know
- Is there anything you can add about the do’s and don’ts to closed window etiquette?
My Other Posts:
Try to quell your desire to open a window on an airplane.
My recent post LOVE SO AMAZING
Wouldn't have to worry about another plane taking our head off, just the air.
I was on a night train in Europe once and the only water for me to brush my teeth with was in my water bottle. After brushing, I stuck my head out of the train window to spit. I learned 2 VERY important lessons immediately…
1. DO NOT spit in the direction the train is going! Oops.
2. DO NOT stick your head out a train window! Immediately after I stuck my head back in, another train came along the track RIGHT next to our train. I seriously would have been decapitated if I were spitting just a split second longer! No lie!
Thank God you learned your lesson without your head being taken off!xD
Old Ancient Proverb: Just like peeing, also don't spit into the wind. ^_^
The first time I was in a train in Germany and another trained passed by us I think I was startled! The sound it makes is weird. Here in America trains stop for one another and let each other pass slowly.
One last lesson I suppose is to mind the gap even for your noggin.
We are all glad you are okay.
