Atheists Trade Porn For Bibles?

A Texas college campus is locked in a fierce debate after a group of students launched the “smut for smut” campaign, trading bibles and other religious texts for porn, MyFoxSanAntonio.com reported.

Atheist students at the University of Texas at San Antonio announced that any student over the age of 18 will receive pornographic materials if they trade in religious materials, according to MyFoxSanAntonio.com.

Leaders of this atheist campaign allege that porn is no worse than what’s written in religious texts.

A university spokesman says that this controversial cause is completely legal, though he admits a majority of the students on campus do not agree with it, according to MyFoxSanAntonio.com.

The group will continue its activities on campus through the middle of the week, according to the site.  Quote Source

Why would these Atheists trade their porn for bibles?  I know from reading the Old Testament that there are plenty of stories that are difficult to make children friendly but I think it is a stretch to compare God’s Word to smut.

I am assuming their motive but I am thinking they are trying to evangelise for shock value.  I just don’t understand.  If Athiest want to be accepted then why cause this kind of controversy?  I have to believe that these acts are being done by young college students.

I remember when I was in college and I can remember that the students I was around thought they were making ground breaking movements for Jesus.  Which at my college consited of being liberal instead of the treaditional conservative.

What ever happend to people going to college to get an education?

PS: People are people.  In other words Christians and Atheists are both people and deserve to be treated with respect.
